Hi everyone.
I'm currently working with the framework 1.1
I'm wondering if i can automaticly set all the columns of a datagrid expanded to the size
then gets when i double clicked on to the separator column line.
Any help will be helpfull

I am setting the property of a control by another from at design time. But when i set it set it does not set.Any can tell me how i can set the property of control by another form at dsign time.

If You Place this two controls on a 3ed Control.
3ed Controls has to have all Properties you whant to set.
In the setter of the 3ed Control Properties you can feed all the Properties you whant.
This will also work during design time.

Hi there is a very usefull .dll you have to add it to your asembly it works very well even with no remote computers it reports you System information.
dll name : RemoteSysInformation.dll
if you need the Dll or any code
(i already have and app done with it to finger information about computers on my network)

Use System.Environment namesapce to get OS information.

2. FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(@"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\EXCEL.EXE")
3. Same with 2, just change the filename.

6. You cannot even run your application. You get only an error "mscorlib.dll is missing".
7. FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(@"C:\WINNT\system32\URTTemp\fusion.dll")

11. Use C++. In C++ you must write an assembler code.

If your application does not work, it means .Net is not installed

Hi Guys.
We have some forms that need to load a couple of comboboxes.
Some only have like 10 items, but some have more than 5000 items.
Now the client complains that it takes too long to load the form. (1 to 2 seconds).
What is the fastest way to get items out of the database and load them in the combobox?
My current workflow:
1. I do a select into a dataset.
2. I set the combobox's datasource, displaymember and valuemember property.
(sorting property is set to false!)
I was thinking about an index on the table, but the database is access and my colleague said you can't said indexes on access databases?
Is there also a property which sets the timout for manually entering the values?
When you start typing, the combobox automatically filters his items. When you type too slow, the value is reset. Our client didn't like this ...

What is the actual bottleneck? Fetching the data or the binding in the GUI?
For the first one an index *might* help. And you can surely index columns in access databases. Just check the properties of the column you wishto index.

Actually I think it's the GUI, but I don't know if that can go any faster then I did...

Try calling combo.BeginUpdate before populating the control, and then combo.EndUpdate after. That will prevent the control from redrawing, but I'm not sure if it helps when databinding (the actual time of list population can be delayed in bound scenarios).

hi all,in my page load event,i given as

but when i click the button(btnsubmit)first time it doesnot show alert msg but when i click the same button again it display the alert what is the prob with my code....

I'm not sure what you are trying to do..and i think there may be a problem with your syntax:

My application has three users 1.Administrator 2.Cash collector 3.User .If somebody has logged in as administrator he should be given access to all the drives ,desktop etc. if he is a cash collector he should be shown only one shortcut on the desktop and other shortcuts should be disabled and if he is a user he should be shown only one folder on C drive.
Is there any way to implement this functionality.
