>>what attracts me is that 16core power since this Dell T5810 has 6 core.
Well, correct me if I am wrong, I think the 16 core is a licensing thing, not a performance thing.

you remind me of using Windows 10 pro instead. I don't need to have server version of OS indeed.
I only dedicate this machine to run one application all day long. this is my goal.

You got scammed. That image was of a Windows Server DataCenter edition. DataCenter is almost always only sold with hardware. You can see the word Datacenter poorly scratched out and STD written over it.

no, my version is STD. I just grab an image from internet to quickly demo my version with the same format/literals.

I am back to my take over the world (slowly) home project.
And I stumbled on a 2 few strange bugs today where databinding was not working very well today. I can't remembering such bug before....
And I wonder, is WPF (minutely) broken in .NET6 (Core)?
(I wonder of back porting the code for testing purpose but.. ppf... mmm.. perhaps I can do one sample)
Anyway.. any similar experience?
Just curious... managed to work around them
[EDIT]
Oh oh.. reproduced the 2nd bug (simplest one) in a both a .NET4.7.2 and .NET6 WPF app.. and they both have the problem...

Him or the nurse? Seriously, has western society deteriorated to the state described in gory detail by Orwell 70+ years ago?

With the rise of truthers, anti-vaxxers, Qanon, militia groups, evangelicals and fundamentalists trying to turn the US into a theocracy, and a majority subset of the Supreme Court set to push women's rights back 60 years, ... yeah, it's pretty bad.

The nurse is just doing her job, by request of the client. Do you seriously imply blame on part of the nurse? This man is a hacker trying to circumvent the security of your database-encryption. And you blame the programmer who does his work, after being requested to do so by a client.
The Roman Empire would have felt similarly in it's decline

More a knowledge of biology test; lots of very intelligent people here either do not know how vaccines work, or don't trust government/pharma. But what surprises me is the "discussion". There can't be any, it's not a democratic problem where everyone's opinion matters.
Germany is close to making vaccination a requirement. I'm hoping that we copy their policies as we usually do.

I was just being snarky, but in this case the consequences of making poor choices can be pretty dire, and unfortunately affects people around them, so I have little patience for it. It's not really political issue for me. It's a public health issue.
That's all I'll say on that.

"This case" isn't anything near polio.
Little patience? I envy that amount, for I have none
HPV vaccine, why would you get it? Smallpox? Rabies? You don't know what there's in a rabies vaccine? Let's not take it!
How did people get the idea that their guess is worth more than the knowledge of someone in the field over ten years?

Reminds me of my opthalmologist's appointment two days ago. The technician sits me down in front of the machine, starts calibrating it against my right eye, and is obviously having problems.
Finally I take pity on her. "You probably don't want to do that with my right eye - it's a prosthesis". (*)
As to why that fact isn't in big red letters on my patient profile, beats me.
(*) Irrelevant side note: My implant and prosthesis are very good and I have good motility (both eyes move together), so you can't tell it's artificial.

Got my booster shot and my flu shot at the same time. It has knocked me on my rear end.
Swmbo told me not to do it, but being hardheaded, I went ahead antway.

Doc told us to allow 2 weeks minimum between COVID and flu shots. We took his advice, and had no significant side effects.

Fortunately, I listened to mine. Booster shot (Monday) made my pretty tired the next day, although nurse said it was half dose of originals.
Will get flu shot in a couple of weeks.

You dont do that, because vaccines activate your immune system. You got your immune system to fight a war on two fronts.
You'll feel baaaaad. Take your medicine hardheaded. And remember that you caused it yourself

Weird how it affects people differently - I had the booster and flu at the same time and had no side effects

It happened again: Apparently I hit some ctrl/alt/win key by mistake (I can't tell which), and immediately all windows on my desktop were terminated. Not closed, so they could be opened again, but terminally terminated. I couldn't open them: None of them were visible in an ALT-Tab. Opening Task Manager showed the running applications: Everything I had running was apparently still active, and the MPC-HC media player continued playing music. But their windows were gone, and the "Switch to" alternative was grayed out, unavailable.
I could start new applications, and they behaved as normal. I found no way to make my previously active (and apparently still running) applications re-open their windows.
I am running Logitech software on a "Logitech Craft" keyboard (which is excellent), set up to hide all windows when I tap the wheel. That minimizes them, but they are still available by Alt-Tab, which isn't the case I am now experiencing.
Am I the only one to experience this? The same thing happened a few weeks ago; this was only the second time, so it doesn't happen "all the time".
Do you know of any way of getting in contact with those application having their windows closed?
Both last time and this time I resorted to restarting the PC, but I'd prefer a less brutal way!
Am I the only one experiencing this, or is it a well known thing?

This probably won't work, but long ago when I had some weirdness happening, 'switching users' back to myself seemed to clear it up. Worth a try, but I only give it 5% (max) chance of working.
