Now there seems to be space in the market for another browser as IE, Firefox and Edge fall off the edge in a heap, you can guarantee that Zuckerberg is working on 'FaceLook'©™® with integrated search engine that only searches that website he set up. Can't remember what it's called just now.

Even if IE/Edge fell to 1% you'd still have about 74,000,000[^] people that use it. All of them will be your "enterprise" customers that you don't want to lose

Except 1% of the market share is not the same as 1% of the world's population.
The estimate[^] is that 46.1% of the world's population have internet access.
So at 1%, you'd only have around 34 million users to worry about.

The single unified browser is just rainbows and unicorns -- it'll never happen. With adoption like that, Chrome is primed to become the next browser attack surface of choice, if it isn't already. After a while, it will get a bad name due to all its security vulnerabilities, and then people will start migrating to the next new one. History does repeat itself, over and over again.
We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.

Not really, it is just part of rocket science development; things blow up; ideally, they blow up in a controlled way and the rocket goes up instead of everywhere.
