Thanks, yes it was a promotion, although the same job as I was already doing, the scale of the role increased as I switched sites. I didn't expect it to be classed as a promotion, so was surprised when a letter dropped in from HR bearing gifts! Looking forward to this months payslip, let's just put it that way!
As for the role, just think of it as the captain of a ship, but for a fixed oil platform.
