It's been friggin cold in the northeast US... and to top it off, I've been super busy at work. It's rare when you long for 40 degree days!

Not that cold...

No, not Canada cold ... but very cold indeed, single digits (Fahrenheit) with windchill.

Eh, not too bad in my neck of the woods. I'm in the southern U.S., Tennessee. But it has still been pretty cold, down in the teens at night/early morning. Could be worse.
djj55: Nice but may have a permission problem
Pete O'Hanlon: He has my permission to run it.

Well we've had single digits and teens all day, that sucks when you're trying to get around. It snowing now so I'll probably be driving home soon before I get trapped in the office.

Here in Ohio we have the 19F today and next week they say it should be 50F.

I wish Ohio would make up its mind about joining winter. This back and forth is making the Mrs. sick as hell.

And last week was -15F windchill.

Wow - there are CPians besides Nish and I who are also Ohioans! Cool!
Which part of Ohio? I'm in Xenia, east of Dayton.

So you have not been blown away? If you have lived in Xenia long you will now what I am talking about.
I am in the Columbus area, and will be shoveling snow in at lest two places this morning. Oh, joy.

I've lived in Xenia my entire life. Our attitude these days is "Pah, it's just an F-3."djj55 wrote: will be shoveling snow in at lest two places this morning. Oh, joy This snowfall was perfect for me. I've got a little electric snowblower I inherited from my mother. It works well as long as the snow is less than six inches deep and is powder rather than wet and slushy. I cleared my driveway and sidewalks last night in about 20 minutes, when it normally takes about 90 with the shovel.

We broke 0 today (That's -18 C for those who get uptight about this sort of stuff.) and made it to 17 in the midwest.
It was broke, so I fixed it.

Wednesday it was -1 F when I got to my car in the morning. You guys always get the same weather a few days later, and complain about it more!
Really though, 30 would feel nice.

It's sad when u get to the point where you're wishing for 30 degree weather.

And look, now it's 50 today!!! 60 tomorrow!!!!! ...0 Thursday...

I always liked The Easiest Job In The World™, meteorologist for San Diego: "Warm and sunny, starting in the 70's and rising to the low 80's this afternoon."

I had had enought suffering through cold and snow.

I grew up in the southeast US... and somehow ended up here... where did I go wrong?

My question is that now that you know you have made a mistake, why you are not correcting it.

I like the area... minus the cold winters...

Lots of areas in the US that have better weather, although most have as miserable or worse. I even thought Denver weather was better. Anyplace along the west coast, or the southwest. Southeast gets too damn hot and humid.
