It's fine to me. Win 7/64, Intel Core i7 8GB ram. Just got NuGet issue. But I fix it.

Ha! Funny you mention that, I have VS 2013 on my own machines and when I had to use 2012 a bit the last few days I realised just how bad it was at freezing constantly.

I have to wonder why you're using a CTP version considering the fact that the release version VS 2013 has been available for quite some time.

Hi Pete,
The CTP 2 is an update of VS 2013, and was just released in Feb., 2014: [^], [^], [^].
Nevertheless, I have learned my lesson: never a CTP again !

That's a beta of an update, not the final update itself. I never, ever, trust CTP releases.

Hi Bill, why are you using a CTP release ? I'm running VS 2013 on my laptop and apart from the odd package manager f**k up all is good.

Still using VS 2008, see no reason at all to upgrade. If it ain't broke, Microsoft will try to fix it anyway.

Yeah, that was some fun, I'd forgotten all about those kinds of setups.
Some songs have passages that are better suited to being played with a floppy drive, some floppy drives sound much better than others. I toyed with the idea a while ago but didn't really feel like trying to dig out a whole bunch of floppies nor like buying a whole bunch of stepper motor control boards. The arduino was under %5, but this project would have cost more than I was willing to spend.
Some Deadmau5 and Daft Punk tracks work really well with floppies like this, think I've also seen a Rolling Stones song or two, too.
To date, my favourite clip of a piece of machinery producing music would have to be a CNC machine playing Paranoid by Black Sabbath. It's only a 3-axis machine, so its only 3 channels.

So many memories of early computer games in the sounds it makes. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Daft Punk - Aerodynamic[^]. Same guy.
Some sounds weren't from the drives, but whatever.

I went to a concert of his many years ago and was crying with laughter. Very funny guy.
