I wish it was, though. Some posts are bad and deserve negative feedback, but not so much that it is right to report them for abuse. At the moment these posts get the same prominence as the vast majority which are just okay and don't receive any upvotes, but wouldn't be downvoted either.

Lounge downvoting was never a big abuse issue before it was disabled afaik.

... gives away when I am on vacation. I pretty much only post on CP when I am at work, so you can guess from the plateau on my rep graph when I was at work, and when I was not.

That the article moderation queue tends to be overfilled since they changed the design?

I just wanted to bring this up because yesterday evening there were articles from Sunday morning still stuck in it, and not getting an approval because the queue only shows the latest five items needing approval.

I do realize that this is rather a Sugs|Bugs topic, but I wanted to put it here to hear what the Overlords have to say

It's always been that way - you only get five of any type in there, and the later stuff pushes out the older.
It's worse at times like this when there is a competition on - as there are a lot more coming through.
Personally, I don't like the new design - it's fine on a desktop, but a bit of a PITA on a tablet.

I force-published some items to let the competition articles through, after I talked to Sean.

The placement of the article list on the front page is also not the best. It would be much more interesting for the ones allowed to moderate to have it in the upper bar (not sure how this is rendered on mobile though), in lieu of the red (useless) notification.
And it would be great to have a way to see if you have already moderated an article directly.
And not limit the list to the last 5.

I think it definitely deserves a page on its own.

I've never understood why, as well as having the list on the home page, there isn't a fully list on it's own page. Then after [not] authorising an article, you can click a link to the next unauthorised article.

You never know, if you're all really naughty there may be another Vilmos article soon!
