Extern message on my Dialog. What happens exactly? Lvca23-Dec-04 0:33 Lvca 23-Dec-04 0:33  Hi, On my application I use a Dialog that cuts the task bar and fits the screen the code to do that is: void FitIt(HWND Form) { CWnd* TaskBarWnd = CWnd::FindWindow(_T("HHTaskBar"), _T("")); if (TaskBarWnd) TaskBarWnd->ShowWindow(SW_HIDE); SHFullScreen(Form, SHFS_HIDETASKBAR | SHFS_HIDESIPBUTTON ); #define MENU_HEIGHT 26 CRect rect; GetWindowRect(Form,&rect); rect.top -= MENU_HEIGHT; MoveWindow(Form,rect.left, rect.top,rect.Width(), rect.Height(), TRUE); } (I call this function in the end of the OnInitDialog()) The problem is: when an extern Message appears(such as the one that advises me that I'm connecting or disconnecting to the pc) , when this Message disappears the Dialog is redrawn "over" the other, but starting from the point under the first taskbar, with the result that all the form seems to be moved down and I get double "mytaskbar". I'm asking: what event exactly happens when an extern Message comes over my dialog? where can I write the code to build again my dialog when a Message appears? In order to scan barcodes I need to use the functions waConnect(), waDefaultSymbology(), waDisableSymbology(), waEnableSymbology(), waWaitForDecode() and waDisconnect(). I had to include in my project the external dependencies engnapi.h and wadecodece.lib and everything seems to work. The problem comes out when I try to compile for Debug: the compiler asks for two files: HHPSCANINTERFACE.DLL and WADECODECE.DLL. Both this files are unfoundable for me. I often need to debug my program, and I really need to solve this problem, have you got any suggestion? Where can I find these files? If your device is iPaq,it has Widcomm Stack so you can't using MS function, but you can use CreateFile() with COM8 and it will open your BlueTooth manager to do the pairing. If you has MS stack,you can use MS function(WSALookupServiceBegin() etc.). Thanks TusharM. could anybody please help me out with combo boxes? shankhas19-Dec-04 18:33 shankhas 19-Dec-04 18:33  hi all, i am a newbie to pocket pc programming. i am using eMbedded VC++ 4.0. i have a simple WCE Pocket Pc application that has a dialog box. inside this dialog box i have 2 edit boxes (name and age) and one combo box (sex). there are 2 buttons in this dialog box submit and cancel. what the user is expected to do is enter his/her name, age and select either male or female from the combo box and then press submit. when the submit button is pressed the contents should be entered in a text file. i dont know what is the code to enter/populate the comboxbox and enter the selected data (male or female) into the text file. I'm looking for a method of licensing the software. I would like to use the MAC address and some cryptography to license the software to a given CEPC. (The CEPC we use has the network adapter built in to the main board so no danger of network cards being swapped out). Problem is, I cant find a way to get the MAC address from within the CompactFramework. I read about an IpHlpApi.dll function called GetAdaptersInfo but I have no idea how to P/Invoke or Marshal the Ref types in VB.net. Any suggestions or vb source code that would help??? Is there any similar tool which displays and saves signature in TIFF format. Right now we have a bmp to TIFF convertor routine. But we'll have to write TIFF to bmp convertor again in order to display the signature on the device via easyink. Any ideas? anybody has a clue about bmp to TIFF convertor routine or a tool like that? I reloaded the entire .NET system including the framework, vs .net and it still does not work. does anybody have any idea where in the registry is the debugging information kept? But the compiler is unable to register the DLL automatically on compiling with the newer model Pocket PCs. I was wondering if it is possible for me to register this DLL manually? Or if there was some other solution to the this problem. Thanks.
