Hi,
I have a problem in .NET custom wizards.
Am getting an error on opening a wizard. It quotes ..
"Could not run the
'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
\VC#\CSharpProjectItems\LocalProjectItems\..\ViewCodeWizrd.vsz' wizard."
I tried the suggestion in the link http://www.petedavis.net/dotnet_articles/wizardfix.html.
But this doesnt seem to work though.
Could any one please guide in this.

hi guys i am trying to disable my lan adapter card and again enable it ,,
i am using WMI and the following code ,, but i am getting an exception
"The method is not implemented by any class" why is that ? and how to resolve this issue ,,, can any help me please,,,

The documentation you're looking at is for Windows Vista. The Win32_NetworkAdapter class on any version of Windows below Vista doesn't have a Disable or Enable method. All they have are Reset and SetPowerState methods.
Enable and Disable don't show up until you run your app on Windows Vista.

That's because the Reset mehtod doesn't have any code attached to it. You can call it, it's there, but it doesn't do anything. It exists if the manufacturer of the card wants to hang any code on it.
There's no way to do what you want using WMI if your code is running on Windows XP or lower.

When I could not compile a database project, there was an error in compilation.

I have two versions and only one fo them has the dll and not the other.
I have no clue why this is so.
Can someone point what might have happenned?

It looks like you are trying to use a beta version of the .NET framework. I know for sure that not all of the beta versions were feature complete, so they might be missing some files. Although this looks like the installation is broken, If I were you I'd do a clean install of the .NET framework on that machine and see if that does anything.

I’ll explain you briefly through a sample code…
First I’ll run this application and initialize the object…
Application 1(server):
Class file :

VB file:
Function init()

End function
After running the application 1, then I’m running the client machine.
Application 2(Remote Client):
VB file:
Dim obj as remoteobj
dim x as integer
x=obj.y
so that the value gets stored in the variable x.

I'm trying to view the changed property of a costume control when i change it in the design mode.
i defined the property as followed:

Hi All
I tried to install Visual Studio.net version 2002 on my PC - WindowsXP profesional from CD. It requires install Microsoft.net Framework component for the first. Installing started but after second finished with Fatal Error. I look at log file and first ERROR was return value 1603 from dotnetfx.exe. I have installed both Framework 1.1 and Framework 2.0.
Please, can you help me. It is very important to install this SW.

i'm getting XML files from my 'customer' that need a DTD to parse correctly (due to namespaces, etc), but the DTD is specified without a path: just the filename. this angers the XmlReader, since it can't find the DTD in the Windows/System32 folder (the file is elsewhere on my system, and i can't put it in the System32 folder in any case).
so, is there a way to tell XmlReader to look in a specific folder for the DTD ?

I need to find two types of files (xml and jpg) scattered over multiple subdirectories. Does anyone know how I can specify the wildcard in DirectoryInfo.GetFiles() to find all xmls and jpgs at the same time?
I've tried:
"*.xml;*.jpg"
"*.xml,*.jpg"
"*.xml *.jpg"
Nothing works.

You can't do that. You have to call GetFiles for each filespec you have. You can't get them all at once using multiple filespecs in one call.
