hi,
In a button click, i have to read datas from excel sheet and store it in mysql database table. This is my code for that

I get an error like this.
ERROR [42S02] [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'Sheet1$'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.
I have specified my path name correctly in the connection string and my sheet name is Sheet1. but i don't know why i get this error. Anybody pls help.

I dont know why that error has come but better to use OleDbConnection than ODBCCOnnection
use as below u will get it...

I have used Oledb connection instead of odbc connection and got those datas. but the thing is that i have to insert those datas in mysql database table. can u pls help me with C# code for that.

hi guys...
i've a prob in ASP.Net that i m using a font that is not in windows defaults fonts. now what i've to do is that first install that font manually on all computers on which i want to run my application that is not the solution off course. i want to get font from a specific location (in my application folder) & if it happens then i've not to install that font on all computers where i want to run my application. plz tell me how to get font from a specific location other than windows default font folder.

i was waiting 4 reply from anyone till now but now i got it from somewhere & npw i m uploading it here so it can be beneficial to all of u if u have to work like this...
the solution is very simple, I am assuming you have a .TTF Font file in some location. Use In the following code I am loading my font file badrobot.ttf from C: drive and using it to change the font of a Label in my application.
System.Drawing.Text.PrivateFontCollection fontcoll = new System.Drawing.Text.PrivateFontCollection();
fontcoll.AddFontFile(@"C:\badrobot\badrobot.ttf");
System.Drawing.Font font = new System.Drawing.Font("bad robot", 20);
this.label1.Font = font;
fontcoll.Dispose();
In WinAPI, the same can be achieved using AddFontResourceEx() and RemoveFontResourceEx().

 Hi, Our project which has been developed on .net2002 is working fine. Now I have introduced some drop down list in search modules of the projects. They also working fine in the local system but in the server, ddlist are not getting filled with the data present in database. And also i want to introduce some more pages to it. They are all working fine in local system. but when i copy them to server where the original project has been deployed, it is giving the following error. Now the project is been enhancing using, .NET 2005

I think you need to be a bit more specific.
1. If your dropdownlist is not getting populated, check whether the database has any data (your dev database may have data, but your test/production db may not)
2.
Now the project is been enhancing using, .NET 2005
Are you saying that you've included pages developed in .NET 2.0 with the older ASP.NET application?

From the Error Message you have posted, I found that, your Application is not deployed in a WebSite where .NET 2.0 framework is installed.
Check the whether .NET framework version installed and running in that server. You need to have .NET 2.0 framework installed and assigned to the WebSite.

Are you asking me to install framework 2.0 in the server. It is frmaework v1.1.4322, I tried to change the version in the properties of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards in administrative tools. but it is not possible.

Thank you venkatesh. it is working after i changed the framework version. But the pages developed in v1.1 are getting affected. is there any way to migrate the complete project from lower version to higher one. And also i have developed a new project in v2.2 but dll files are not got created. They were in bin directory in the previous version. But anyway it is working in local system. but when i put that in server it will not. is this is because of dll files. Can u tell me what i need to do to make it work?

The files in v1.1 will work in 2.0 framework. But use web.config created in 2.0 framework. If you want to migrate a whole project, just open it in VS 2005 which will open the Migration Toolkit.

Just publish the website. You will get the required files and binaries (.dll)

Im not sure if this method works right. Most ISP's hide a lot of user's behind one public IP. The IP gets Natted in and out of the ISP's network.
The HttpRequest.UserHostAddress returns the IP of the last server in the chain. It could be a proxy, a NAT or just a intermediate server.
If you're looking for every unique session, just use the Session_OnStart in global.asax. Or if you want to capture every unique user, even though he may have multiple sessions open, you have to dig deeper into the Request object and try a combination of members.
