I have written all the commands required to do live serach in a method.I am calling that method asynchronously using threads.Although I have created 20 threads and calling the search method from all these 20 threads.(It's Like If have a paragraph with 20 sentences, I want to call my search method 20 times asynchronously without waiting for first one to complete. )The problem is when I moniter my network traffic I can only see 2 connections to the server Instead of 20.Can anybody tell me what is the problem why I can't make 20 connections to MSN Live server.From my programs trace I can see that all 20 treads are being created and callback is also happening for all 20, but what I feel they all are using same 2 connections thus I can't see a boost in performance.
Note I am using synchronous version of MSN web Search method.

I have figured out the problem, firstly according http RFC we should not make more the two connection to a web server,hence .NET complies with it and by default allows us to make only two connections to the web server,it can be changed fairly easily by making changes to machine.config file.
But there are various other aspects which should be taken care while doing so,in order to get maximum out of your multi threaded application.Please refer to following links they will to remove all doubts.

i want to throw error message in ASP code when there are problem connecting to SQL server or there are some blockages...
currently i am trying to call Stored procedure and since the SQL server is donw it takes lot of time to get the response.
how we can achive this quikcly.

You want to lower the timeout on the connection ? I'd imagine you can do that on the connection string.

I've wrote a program to receive the udp package from remote machine which runs very well,but this time when I installed the IIS Server,the program always report "bind error" and error number means "Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted",but the port I've used "netstat -an" and determine the port has not been used.What's the matter?

I hate posting in this forum, as God is my witness, I will never do web development again...
But, I'm a consultant, I'm here to help, and the dark side is calling me...
I need to test a platform providing VBscript support. Thankfully, I will not have to develop too much s/w in VBScript, but I am responsible for blessing the platform. Can anyone recommend a source for a vbscript confidence check? I'd like to trust MS... but I need to see for myself if things really work on my target platform.

I've a comobbox and i'm fill this comobbox like this:

and than i want to get Comobbox select item head id. But when i select the comobbox value page refresh, first time it return head id but when i again select a value i got an javascript error like this:

I am a VC++ developer know something of HTML and little DHTML. But time required from me
to develope a web page which will have excel sheet and people from various places place order by filling that excel and I have to get it at server. I can develop a application
as excel sheet within html and take data entered in html in access and then print it.
But I dont understand if this html is on remote machine and it is filled how can I get that
data transfered to server.No doubt my created html I will place on my domain server.
But surely ISP will get copy of it will forward to user. I am little confused of whole mechanism. Can anyone guide me about the same. My countdown is already started for finishing it on or before deadline.

is equivalent to:

This time I have a web page, that will show only a text, and I want to print only that text, not the page number at the top of the page, or the url of the page and date at the bottom of the page. Your question and your subject line don't really match....
To print out only specific divs, you need to include a css file for print media...
LINK rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print"
href="prntfriendly.css"
and define those div's to be hidden on the printer friendly css file.
But you cannot detemrine the header and footer print options on the client browser - but you CAN set them on your OWN browser to suit your needs/wants - try
