Check if: - the String to convert has no invalid chars (letters etc.) - the String has the right delimiter for the used local settings (you can set the Culture with Convert.ToDecimal Method (String, IFormatProvider) ). It was,in default my machine support "," instead of "." in decimal values. How can i slove it??? i upgraded asp.net1.0 application to asp.net2.0. My problem is I need the value from this dropdown list to be passed to the ascx page. This customized gridview needs to query the database based on the value within the dropdown list. Maybe do a search of your machine for all .sln files using "*.sln" and see if you can find it. Beyond that I am not sure.
