Hi my application forms don't fit the screen correctly on various resolutions. is it possible to set the form so that it diplays correctly on the various resolutions.I'm using vb.net for a windows application

Hi I click the dock property which only gives 5 locations to dock the controls. the anchor property also has limited options. I want my controls to stay in there exact positions but resize according to resolution or maximized property Confused | :confused:

Those five optons should be all you need, I've only had one app ever where I did some repositioning myself in the size changed event.

In your message you have not specified the language you are using in your application but assuming that you are using VB 6.0, here is the code to erase the content of an array -

greetings to all,

guyz i need again your help,

how to return a value of true if the function will
find in a string at least one "0"?

example : "110" the function should return "True"

i used the inStr() function it seems working but
when i would like to test another string inStr() function does not work.. or i used it incorrectly?...

pls help, i need it very badly and your help is very highly appreciated.... thank you...

updating a form

Hi i'm writing a windows application using vb.net and I need some way of refreshing the form so that new values (in this case a new template) is added to a listbox on the form once it is created.How do I do this? I would think that I just would need to rebind the datasource for the listbox to the dataset table. I'm just not sure what form event to put the code in or if this is the right way to do it? It cant be in the form load event because I dont want the user to have to close and reopen the form.

I'm not sure what you mean.
Do you have 2 forms or how do you create the new template??

if you create it on a second form and you call that form in a button you can open the second form as showdialog and then put the reloadcode for the listbox after that (the code will wait for the seconde form to close)

you can also work with custom events.
declare a custom event on the second form, when you open the second form add a handler to it
(addhandler form2.customevent, addressof reloadlistbox) and then in the second form you raise the event when the template is created

Without a better explination of how you'r program is working this is the best advice I can give you.

I create the template on the same form. once the user clicks save I want it to show the new templatname in the listbox on the form. it currently only updates the lisbox once I close and then reopen the form.Thanks for the reply

The Business Logic will validate the input from a user from the Presentation Layer. The thing i want to know is how does the Dal Collect the validated data from BLl and Execute it.

No-one is going to read all of this. What do you need help with ? Can you break this down into something that can be understood in less than an evening ?

Have you considered using a stored proc ?
