Hi, I want to play video files stored in the virtual directory. But I could not pass "File name" to that from the sql table. I could only play the specified file. How to overcome this problem?

hi
i am having a webpage (developed using asp) in it i have one hyperlink button when i click on that button file starts downloading from my system with that file name.its working fine, but now i want to download the file from another system which is connected to my system(say MS01 is another system name ) through LAN. can anybody send me the source code for this task.

how we encrypt a userid in emails is it possible in a c#.net project.that means if a user login using authentication method the users id and password will be seen in the address bar of the browser as in encrypted form .please send the source code for that query.if a user logins in by entering his username and password his id will be seen as in encrypted form as we seen in mails

hi,
i am preparing a project for college submission title is "Online search hotels and Bookings". i have a problem that, how can i send email to the client. i have not any server, i want to use local host for it. so what can i use code? or any configurations are required or not. i want to use SMTP protocol. so what is the procedure for it.
any body tell me what can i do?????????????

Goto IIS setting and check your SMTP server is running. In MailMessage class, use localhost as server. To view the mail after sending, goto MailRoot -> Queue folder.

HTML don't have any tab tag. Use tables instead

No, the way that most web pages do this is to render each page as if it shows a bunch of tabs with the current one selected, and the others as links to pages that work the same way on the 'tabs'

I think he means tab as in the tab key rather than tab as it the UI element.

Hi
In edit mode of the gridview, I have provide date picker. For this I am opening a new page containing the calender using java script:
window.open('CalendarPopUp.aspx?textbox=tbxSetDate','cal','width=250,height=225,left=270,top=180')
But I am unable to take the selected date back to the parent page.
When I am trying to access the textbox of the current row in gridview's rowcommand like:
TextBox tbxSetDate= (TextBox)(GridView2.Rows[Int32.Parse(e.CommandArgument.ToString())].Cells[2].FindControl("TextBox2"));
I am getting null instead of the textbox object.
Any idea here?

Hi Rakesh,
When you go into edit mode the e.CommandArgument is not working some of the times. Therefore it is likely you cannot find your textbox in that row.
I use the following to get the correct row number.
GridViewRow row = (GridViewRow)((Control)e.CommandSource).Parent.Parent
you can try it and see.

Session is not project specific. It's site specific. Is this two projects works on same virtual directory ?

It is in same virtual directory itself

When a new project is created, automatically one virtual directory will be created on IIS. Goto IIS settings and check another virtual directory exist for the second project. If exist remove one.

Sounds like your application is running in a folder below another
application. You need to create it as an application in IIS (so it
looks like a virtual directory) - otherwise you can't change certain
settings such as the authentication mode.

Remote server or an Intranet server ? Windows authentication works only with intranet applications
