You are not counting the depth of the xml file, you are counting the nodes (not all, but nearly). What you have to do is sth similar to Depth-First-Search. You have to travel each path from root to leaf determining the length and check if this is bigger than all length of all paths in your tree.
Found an example in Java, doing exactly what you need:

Take a look at the method _getdepth(). What the code does is to get the depth for each subtree and then compares these values, checking if it is bigger than all seen before.

Can you describe the system in five sentences? The term "Driver System" is very generic, and could be interpreted in a variety of ways. I have no idea what to expect when someone throws such a broad term. Will it:
- Identify the hardware-drivers/manufacturer/version?
- Identify the software-drivers (DirectX)?
- Update any specific driver?
- Show me the usage of the driver (how often do I implicitly use the mousedriver?)
- Get me a list of all drivers on the network?
- Create new drivers (don't even go there!)
- Be a generic driver for all sorts that we can interface to?
- ..

i have been getting The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request error
when am trying to use the webclient.uploadfile explicitly in a service (windows service)
the same method works fine when i call it directly on a button click.

What if you try to use a tcp-monitor like TcpMon to get the difference between both requests? This will help you to start tackling the problem.

TcpMon works like a proxy. Set the listen port to 8080 and the result port to the port of your webserver (default 80). Then your client sends the request to port 8080. Each request to the server on port 8080 will be displayed within tcpmon.

I've got a util class which contains a non-Generic Hashtable.
class Person

protected Hashtable _lstProperties;
public Hashtable Properties

And property really is a template class ...
class Property<T>
{

}
This is why I can't use typed collection in class Person (i.e. Person.Properties = Hashtable as supposed to System.Collections.Generics)
