From your example I understand that you will have a main form on which you want to browse records (actions), and then when you click a button or something a new window is opened with the details (material and texts) of the selected action.

This is possible, and not even necessarily very difficult.

Editing details on such a subform, is possible and not even necessarily very difficult.

You are also hinting at maybe wanting to have two sub forms open at the same time. If so, why would you want to?

Doing it in Access VB may be a little trickier, but not by much. An option you can consider, is to use Visual Studio and VB.NET, to build (at least) the application with which you browse actions and edit details. Only the printing could be left to MS Access, but even that can also be built with Visual Studio and VB.NET.

My advice is free, and you may get what you paid for.

Ya I m trying to communicate using VB.NET.
I m doing a program that recognize SMS content and process operation.

Ex. If u send Save SMS It will save the Record.

You can use the .Net framework's SerialPort class for communication with that. You just need to know the protocol.

You need to obtain a SDK from Nokia, to know the protocoll for the communication with the handy. The PC Suite does not help, because it's an end user programm and what you need is the know how of a programmer. I personaly never talked to a handy programmaticaly, so can't help you further...

I am trying to insert multiple records on crystal report 10 using the following codes. I have multiple columns, too. But the following code displays only the first record in the dataset. when i put the last two lines before the word "next" it displays only the last record. Can any one fix it or give me some suggestions?
I thank any efforts made to solve this problem
NB: param3 is the parameter field that is found on crystal report

Normally you set your crystal report up and throw a query/stored procedure/dataset at it and it does the rest... why are you using this code?

i used this code because the final data to be displayed on crystal report depends on user data input. everytime user input changes the report data changes.

Parameters generally used as a selection or displaying some information ie user name, department. They are not meant for passing in the report data itself.

The Crystal Report should take the data from data sources like dataset, object collections, or directly from the database itself, not by passing in as parameters one by one.

I have used an comboBox in my application and on Edit Cmd i have DropDown list of items for user to select.But now the problem is that When i Click Exit Cmd,the form does not get closed on Single click ,I have to Click CmdExit 2 times to close form.But i wanna close the form on a single click .Kindly help me for the same

Sounds like your code might be doing something that causes it to eat the first click, for instance, your custom code might be opening the combo, so as you click off it it's then closing the dropped down combo - perhaps you could post your code for us to look at?

The other option is that you have it set to double click instead of single click.

Hi all,

I want to know, how to check Component(ocx) is already registered or not.
I tried in Google but i didn't get any correct result.

Eg: Using Shell in VB6, executing regsvr32 "COMPONENTNAME.ocx".
I have written this code in the load event of the form. It will execute every time when i launch this form.

I want to check, if the Componet.ocx is already registred then leave it. otherwise registered it.

hello,

need help again. why is that in my datagridview after load. it will add a new column instead it should insert combobox in datagridview.
heres what i did.

Me.gridMeasure.Columns.Insert(2, New DataGridViewComboBoxColumn())

in my datagridview
i add it programmatically, im not using the wizard.

Me.gridMeasure.DataSource = ds
Me.gridMeasure.DataMember = "tmpTable"
Me.gridMeasure.Columns(0).Width = 60
Me.gridMeasure.Columns(1).Width = 55

so i want to add a combobox in column 2 thats why i use this

Me.gridMeasure.Columns.Insert(2, New DataGridViewComboBoxColumn())

could someone give me an example on how to add combobox inside datagridview programmatically. note the combobox has different datasource.

Instead of dgv.Columns.Add(ProductName) you can use Insert
