I haven't been to the New User registration page in almost 10 years, and given the suudden rash of spam crap that's infiltrating the site, I logged out so I could see what was requested.
I was SHOCKED to see that absolutely no mechanism appears to be in place to verify that someone signing up isn't a bot or some such thing.
You guys really need to improve that area of the site.
I think maybe someone should be enjoined from posting anything for AT LEAST 48 hours after signing up on the site. If that seems too harsh, then prevent messages with URLs from being posted until the person reaches silver status. We have to take proactive steps to keep this crap from happening.

Cripling accounts for legit new users is not the way to go. A captcha of some sort appears to be needed badly...

I agree - it sucks to do it, but we have to do something until the problem is resolved with a better solution.
On the bright side, we're getting a lot of organizer points (I think).

While I'm not a big fan of them, it might be time to move the sign up to captchas. At least there would have to be some human intervention at t'other side.

Well, I used many WYSIWYG html editors in my site but finally I get annoyed with 'em. They are just too crap, adding useless tags and increase html length for nothing. But then I thought to develop a pure HTML editor where you can write limited html tags, something like CP's. So when I was about to complete I realised that lines do not appear same as html. So I thought that just simply replace '\r\n' with '<br />', but something came in mind what about lines in pre tag. They are not suppose to be replace by '<br />', then I opened CP's editor and in Preview I saw they are doing same. However, I didn't expect that, because if you are using pre tag then why need a '<br />' for each line.

In Quick Answers, I can bookmark a question. However, when I go to my bookmark page, I don't see a way of accessing those Quick Answer bookmarks.
