Okay C# scripting? can it completetly replace javascript?
Could somebody help me out and tell me how i can do this in C#:
document.getElementById("table1").style.color = 'red';
and also how can i call multiple functions on an event?
ie.... onMouseover="Foo1();Foo2()" like this in java

No, C# is server side only (for the time being).
The rest of your answer would be. NO. No. No. No.  It would also be better to ask C# related questions in the ASP.NET forum.
Anything client side needs to be javascript (those questions again are valid in this forum).

Just like that. Although it may be better to write one function to wrap it all. Less hassle to change multiple lines rather than just one function.

There is a keyword in Javascript and C++ - this, that points to current instance of class, function, etc. So my question - is there any such keyword, property or whatever like "this" in VBScript?
For example I have a Class and it creates another one, to which I need to pass its parent (this), how to do it in VBScript?

Yes: me is the same as this in VBScript. Same for normal VB.

How do you design your big applications??
I ususally use the 3-tier model but for a big application is better to separate le business layer and the presentation layer into small pieces. Or not?
I mean, multiple web projects for the user interface, and multiple business layers (one for each web project), and one database for all.
So you can update and deploy only one module (WebUI + Business) without touch the other modules.
But what about the circular references??
How do you desing your big application??

Does anyone know how to access a SQL Server database from ASP without showing the userid and password in the ASP file?
When I type the following in my ASP file, anybody who has access to the file can readily view the username and password.
objConnection.Open "DSN=mydsn;UID=sa; PWD=password;DATABASE=MYDB"

I don't think you can. If someone has access to your ASP, there is not much to do... He can always find a way to connect to your database or get your username/password.. The question is.. who can access your ASP code?

If someone has access to your asp scripts that makes you worry you have bigger problems than just trying to hide the connection string.
One option is write a resource type object and compile it. If an unauthorized user got to it they would still lneed to decompile to get the connection string.

Opera is a good browser for everything except the DOM, which is what you are using. It does HTML and CSS well, but not the DOM. It supports bits and pieces of the DOM, but not all.

I want to change a text with JavaScript, when the user clicks on a link (href).
I know that I have to make a JavaScript function and call that funktion in the onClick event of a link.
But, how can I change a text (no input field!!!) in my html file?

How to set the colour for the button... the way CP sets the color... Something to so with the .css, but whats the property to be set, and how.. Help PLease...

How can I display the titel of the Frame?
I have a simple HTML file with one frame (inserted with <iframe src...).
So, I want to display the title of the HTML file in the frame on the top HTML file!
And I want to update the title of the frame window on the top HTML file every time a new
file is loaded in the frame.
Is that possible?
If yes, how?

Use the title= attribute. If you use a script to load new pages into the iframe I believe you could also set a variable to the value of title and update it when you change pages in the iframe.

I have a simple HTML file with one frame.
On the left side of my HTML file I have a navigation menu.
When I click on one item I update the frame.
It look like this:

On the top of my HTML file I want to display the current loaded file in the frame, like
"Projects > Project 1".
How can I change the text ("Projects > Project 1") when I click on the menu?
(with Javascript, ... ????)
How can I make this?????

I've never done this, but I'm pretty sure it could be done in Javascript. What you need to do is declare a variable, and preload it with the string "Projects". Then, on the menu items, add an onclick, with a parameter (eg. 1 for menu1) which calls a normal javascript function (this may not even be necessary, but long ways sometimes work best).
In the function change the value of the variable to "Projects - Project" + parameter, so that the same function works for all menu items, where each one passes the relevant number.
Put a javascript document.write where you want the string to appear.
