That's exactly what I meant, sorry if my question was not phrased correctly.
Whenever the system detects an email address in a forum message, a response, a question or an answer, the user gets an alert asking them to remove their email addresses.

It's not a problem per se. But just saves us some keystrokes in reminding people not to put their email addresses in order not to be spammed.

Chris,
As you will see in the Spammer list below, there is one noticeable pattern of the guilty pattern, which has generated hundreds of accounts.
How maybe want to cull these in one go. They are easily identifiable.
1) They have sent the homepage link to '0.0.0.32'
2) They have company name 'Feel Good Inc.'
3) They have country 'Libyan Arab Jamahiriya'
4) They have batches of sequential profile names.

1,400 and counting today.
Spammers do it in bulk and mix it up poorly. Each spam leads me to another set of spam and so on. I'm approaching 7,500 removed accounts over the last 2 days.

Thanks, that's good info. For some reason the URL I posted is listed in My Articles under my profile with the text Deleted Most likely this is because the initial version was deleted and then renamed...

Few things I've seen:
- If I hold shift and press a direction arrow, the highlighted text is deleted. Only seems to happen after I paste something in the message.
- While typing this messsage, I was sometimes typing 10 words before they showed up (I'm talking about the textbox, not the preview). Crazy lag. I am typing this message just fine, but that may be because I haven't pasted anything (aside from a link).
- When I pasted the above link before the closing LI and closing OL I had already typed, both of them were moved to just before the inserted A (anchor) tag.

If you mouse over the code block dropdown with the text window near the bottom of the screen, half of the list becomes invisible, because it is below the bottom edge of the browser window. Perhaps we need something like the context menu, where it swaps above / below and left / right according to how close it is to the edge of the screen?

And while we're on the subject...
If you have the "profile popups" thingy active and hover on somebody near the top of the (maybe scrolled) page, the popup can be partly hidden off the top.
No biggy. FF and Chrome for me, probably universal.

Maybe the author of the original tip did not like your alternative? Although after reading your alternative, it would better work as a comment rather than as a full alternative since it's not complete by itself.

Alternatives don't have to incluide code, and even *I* can't delete alternate tips, so it had to be an admin that did it.

You can delete alternatives to your own tips, not other peoples' so it wasn't necessarily an admin who did this.

Yes, but it wasn't your Tip/Trick: Sunasara Imdadhusen was the OP, he can delete alternatives he doesn't think fit the bill for some reason, without the admins getting involved.
