Hi wipin,
All you have to do is change the status of your article to "Composing" or check the box that says "Work in progress: don't publish." If you have any problems please let me know.

Hi folks
I would like to change a title in one of my published articles for better search optimization (google pays a lot of attention to this part of a page).
I recon when I change the title, the url of the article will be changed too.
The ideal resolution for me would be:
- having new title at the top of my article
- having updated URL based on new title
- having old URL that will automatically redirect to the new URL
Is that possible?

We recently changed the submission wizard so that URLS match titles. Can you please let me know the article and title change? Let's see what we can do.

When you change the Title of your article, the slug (that's the human-readable, SEO friendly bit at the end of the URL) updates automatically. However, if you change the title, and hence the slug, then hitting the old URL will still show the article.
Also, a small trick we've enabled is after you edit your article's title, you can click on the slug of the URL that's displayed at the top right of the submission wizard and edit the slug directly.

Hi Sergey Arhipenko,
I think it may be possible and you have not need to more change in your published article. You change article title and resubmit again and you will be found change an online article. It will be automatically redirect on new URL. So, you can make easier change .

It does not appear there are any versions of that article. Have you tried making changes to the article itself? With our new wizard you can actually make changes while logged in by clicking the button here: Code Project Article FAQ[^]
Beyond that if you'd prefer to send me the full updated article and code in a .rar, or renamed .zip (ie .notzip) file I'd be happy to apply the updates for you.

Thank you sir for offering help. I made the update using the wizard (by the way it looks different than it was 1 year ago) is said "your article will go into a queue for approval" (the same message I received when I submitted the article).
if i couldn't see the updates to what e-mail should i send them?

All article updates now go through the same pending status as new articles. I have seen your article in the pending queue and now it is live. Please let me know if you have further questions.

I think your reputation stands you in good stead to be a mentor. The article limit is really there to help weed out the undesirables, but in your case we'll make an exception.
