I had a legit version of Seven bought in early October, but it seems that anyway the installation process trusts your words and it checks nothing. With a little luck... On the other hand, I really like Windows 7, so I see no reason to not use that for as long as possible. I'm also kinda tired of switching software versions all the friggin' time. In my opinion, versions change far too often. It would be ok if it was basically the same software with better features only, but Microsoft seems intent on reinventing the software every time they change versions as well... All my computer related stuff happen on a Windows machine (either workstation or server) so someday I will cetainlly have a Windows 8 machine. BUT! After XP I just couldn't go to Vista, every time I used it it smashed my confidence by being flaky, noticeably slower, common functions obfuscated and hard to find. But, I 'wanted' an up-to-date OS all the same. Then Win7 was launched and I got it on launch, 64-Bit Pro version. I love it, it 'just works', and you don't notice it. With Win 8 - I just don't feel the compulsion to move. What I have works fine and Win8 looks like something suited to a tablet or smartphone that's been shoe-horned onto a desktop. Now everything at M$ is becoming squared and pale... Why?
