Yes - we lost some voting history due to a bug on the site when we did a major update a month ago. The actual scores are accurate, it's just that we don't have all the individual histories.

I'm not sure if I got the reason correctly or not. But at least in the example above it doesn't look to be a history problem. It's showing votes for another article maybe. The article never received 1-star or 3-star votes, but it shows a few such votes, and the sum do not match the number of votes.

What's the difference between accounts that say "Unable to load the requested member's information." and "This account is no longer active"? Is the former only temporarily disabled, or is it because the site is overloaded at the time?

"Unable to load the requested member's information" is shown if you use the friendly URL (like http://www.codeproject.com/Members/ProgramFOX[^]). "This account is no longer active" is shown if you don't use the friendly URL, if you use an URL like http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=8966127[^].

I wanted to delete this question (SPAM) from the forum.

Even though on the right side of the page, it says that I have permissions to edit or delete this question. I got the following error while deleting?

Insufficient permission to delete.

Is this intentional or am I missing something?

There's a lot of live stream spam now. Is it possible to add a spam filter that filters out all spam questions?

It is, if you can put together a list of words guaranteed not to be in non-spam questions.

What about the links? If a message with URLs to the spammer's site is reported and removed, isn't it possible to block all messages with the same URL, and automatically suspend the user account after a certain number of attempts?

Another question - are there published lists of spammer URLs that you can use to block messages? Something like this, perhaps? http://www.stopforumspam.com/[^]

I can login from the dropdown, but when I use the actual login page, I get the hamster error.

I cannot, for the life of me, replicate the bug.

Going directly there and trying to log in on the Nexus, I got a "too many redirect loop" error and then going to the home page I was logged in.

If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

I keep getting the hamsters having lunch, with "Invalid viewstate" and a load of data I can't copy and paste because I can only post from the PC when I'm logged in!

This is probably the same issue as the bug above. It may be related to our load balancer issues last week. Maybe. I will dig in.

If a member posts spam or abusive content, then members can report his account. If 5 members report his account, then his account will be closed.

I don't know. I think (I could be wrong) the account is removed forever. Can you give the member name of the account of your friend. Perhaps I can tell you whether he posted spam or abusive content.
