I changed my display name from GeekBond to this...
But the form automatically set my Account label also to my display name.
Attempting to change my display name back or the account label to what it was before ....
CP says: Items that need attention:
•The name you supplied has already been registered. Please choose another, or try retrieving your password if that is your member name.
CP says: Unable to find your information. Can you please check the email or display name and try again? If in doubt refer to the original membership email that was sent to you when you joined.

I just came across a couple of articles that I am able to edit and delete. That should not be possible since I do not have those privileges.
I have not actually tried to do either, but the icons are available to me in the upper right corner.
I would prefer not to blindly post the links, so let me know how you want me to point you to the articles.

The problem seems far greater than I initially thought. I have put some information together in an unpublished article, which is pretty easy for you to locate under my profile (since there are no other articles to muddy the waters  ). I think it will be best if an Admin takes a look at it.

No Pete, it's a bug.
I just checked on one of mine: it is marked as Edit "Admin only" and by borrowing my cat's login id (http://www.codeproject.com/Members/Dij-The-Cat[^] 500 points total) I can edit the Tip.

I don't know if the CP guys have a good way of tracking all these down, but I do have a list almost as long as the one already in my note. I tracked them down Saturday, but did not want to spend the time formatting the note if it turned out to be a waste of time. If Chris can use the information, I will update the note with the additional links.
I noticed a couple authors have quite a few in the list - they may have opted for the "Allow anyone to edit" setting.

This morning I clicked "update my article" and added a note requesting that the <style> element at the top of the article actually be used to format the article instead of appearing as plain text. Does this explain why the article disappeared? But I didn't mark it as a Work in Progress so I am confused.
(On an unrelated note, the buttons in the article editor don't work in Chrome for me. I have to use Firefox.)

It's been promoted to an Article.
We don't support the addition of STYLE blocks in articles. We specifically work to provide a consistent look and feel for all articles.
Buttons don't work in Chrome? Hmm. They were working for me the other day but I'll take a look.

Oh, does that happen automatically when I use "Update your article"?
The style was added to my other blog post so I know it's possible (although unfortunately, in the CodeProject version, the two sidebars were just slightly too close together, producing a glitch... I wonder if that glitch has a name.)
This time I had to use Firefox just to post this message (now I'm on a different computer; on the other computer I was able to post a message, but the buttons in the Article Editor didn't work.)

Yeah, that was me  Use class="sidebar-right" on a DIV to get that effect.

Earlier, when I visited the "My Settings" page, the connection was totally encrypted. But now, Firefox says "Connection Partially Encrypted". I wouldn't like to enter a new password if the page is just partially encrypted instead of totally.
By design or bug?
