Since the stars aren't all exactly the same distance from Earth, shirley they'd look different from t'other side? Speed of light and all that malarkey.

Well, yes, but the point is it was actually designed to be looked at from there.
Still an amazing factoid though.

I was thinking 'DD' isn't old enough to have a son - then I remembered it was your birthday (which I forgot to reply to, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I hope many pints were consumed), and your age

I suspect someone had the transparency flipped when they copied the stars.

A friend has booked an 'apartment' called Glasgow Lofts, on Renfrew Street
They are billed as 'luxury', and have received mixed reviews on TripAdvisor or the like - now she's panicking and thinking about cancelling and trying somewhere else
If anyone 'qualified' knows this place and has constructive comments, it'd be appreciated
cheers

I already went to several great places which had mixed reviews on Tripadvisor. Remember that unsatisfied people are easily bitching oh these advice sites, but the satisfied seldom give feedback...

I suspect the area is more the reason it has garnered mixed reviews. To be honest, Renfrew Street does not look great and it's very heavily a student area. You are close to Sauchiehall Street there, and that puts some people off as well. Saying that, you're actually pretty close to the good end of Sauchiehall and within two minutes from Buchanan Street which, if you like shopping, is superb. There are lots of really good restaurants nearby and the night life around there can be really interesting. And yes - I do know Glasgow very well, I have clients in Glasgow so I spend a lot of time there.

Well, I was back in Glasgow last week and I took a wander along to this area. There's a lot of renovation going on around here so I suspect your friend will have a great time.
