It's just the designs ATE equipment is read as uses ATE equipment... trying to explain to some not very techie person what you do is hard (they don't seem to understand because you have designed meter reading ATE, its not easy to convert over furnace ATE!)

Their key word search skills are non-existent - when I was looking a year or two ago, I specified North West England, and was frequently sent job specs situated in North West London. I mentioned in my CV that I had worked on NHS projects and at one time I had been IT manager for an organisation - what did this get me? Adverts for NHS HR Manager positions!
The number of the tossers who keep sending me details of short term contracts when I state quite clearly that I do not want contract work appals me.

I was recently phoned at work by an agent who told my boss she was a personal friend, which was a complete and utter lie.
Another agency we had used in the past phoned here recently asking if we were taking on staff. When told no, the moron tried to headhunt the person he was talking to, This led to a call from our boss to the agency stating that they would never again be used for recruitment in the future for being so unprofessional.

My battle has always I wanted to get a first role when I left Uni. No help there in-fact I was told I should be looking for a different industry (tourism ??) due to my grade. Finally got a Job (thanks Mum!) relevant to my Skill set.

My experience of PE Teachers is they were wood work teachers that could cut straight!

I got one sunshine ring up, the company I work for, leaving their number saying it was confidential and asking for me to ring them back.
When I rang back and discovered that the sunshine was "headhunting me" I told him I would think about the offer and call them back later in the day - as far as I am concerned, lying to a scumbag is not unethical.
When I asked how he got the number of reception he told me "I have my ways".
(I also needed to explain to the girl on reception that it was a recruiter to allay her concerns.)

Yes it should but I was distracted by a mix of Recruitment agency phone calls and some test work at the time, didn't want people to think I was wasting time!

I wish you all the best of luck in getting a meaningful position. I would hate to be in the same circumstances. I was always lucky in getting my positions (more than just jobs), I was there at the right time with the right background (when I started (in '60), there was no such thing as a CS degree - closest was Math, maybe EE). Went from Military, to GE Mainframe, to IBM at a university, finally back to GE (morphed Bull by that time).
