and the message list http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/Messages.aspx?fmid=11240533[^] so that others can report even when messages or account has been gone meanwhile.

Yeah all of that you described sounds like more work than I put in, plus involves having more than one tab open. I'll just report it here if I see it, like I did.

Then the reported message may be removed while the account stays active because the link to it is no longer available.

Similar when there are multiple messages and the account has been remvoed.

Finally, providing the links is more convenient for others. Wink | ;)

I does make it a lot easier for everyone else if you link to the messages page: once a user is gone, there is no way to destroy the other messages without involving Hamsters.

That is not 100% correct.

For comments, messages and QA items, one can build the query manually

Where XXXXXXXX is the member ID not the friendly name. In this case (only pasting the one message link) then your statement is totally true, but on reports where the member can be seen in the link to the account, then those query can be built manually.

Other thing is with the Articles, Tip/Tricks and Blogs, they are a bit buggy because the querys are built with the friendly name. Once the account is dead, clicking the link brings you to your own list of contributions.
I already raised that point a while ago in the B&S Forum.

But... there is still a workaround. You can use the CP-Intern search function with "author: YYYYYYYY" where YYYYYYYY is the user name of the nuked account.

But... in conclusion...

On the other hand, the post contains a masked link under references, pointing to a place where the book can be purchased.

Is that spam? It seems that the guy has no reference with the author of the book. In the original blog, ok. But, what about here in CP? is it allowed?
