I think quite a timely post actually. I know exactly where you are coming from. The whole concept of plagiarism seems to have a different significance in different cultures - a bit like the concept of free speech.
The idea that what you put out is substantially your own work (and if not you attribute accordingly) is not a bad one.

There's a huge difference between posting some words, and posting some words prefaced with "here's something I read here".
When teaching kids it is a pain, but you have to teach them that
A white dwarf, also called a degenerate dwarf, is a stellar remnant composed mostly of electron-degenerate matter. not only does not sound like something a 15 year old would write but, looks like they don't understand most of the words.
Usually it gets rewritten as
A white dwarf is also called a degenerate dwarf and is a star remnant made of electron-degenerate matter.
as they can't be bothered looking up the terms they don't understand.
Third try would be
A white dwarf is a star part or quantity that is left after the greater part has been used.
at which point I shake my head sadly and go to the staff room for a shot of whiskey

I disagree Mike. Groovy still works great, in the appropriate context, and this is one of them. Grooving music is always a good thing. 
'Just sayin' tends to minimize your statement and comes across as passive-agressive nonsense.
BTW - the downloadable album is older music of his from various albums. It is not an album of new music. Regardless, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Yeah I found that I had all of the tracks after I downloaded it, but others may not.

I've not heard a lot, although what I've heard is great. I think he was on "Later" once.
Talking of younger blues guitarists, have you heard Joanne Shaw Taylor? We saw her live last year. She also rocks. some of her stuff in the show was tending a little to funk which is not my favourite, but her Texas style stuff is pretty damn good.
She's easy on the eyes too and seems a nice humble lady. English, but living in the US.

While on a less well known Blues artist theme, did you ever listen to Steamhammer? They were one of my favourite Blues bands (late 60s, early 70s I think). They were one of those groups that had two lead guitarists. It was great how the two leads would weave around each other sometimes, then play together for a chorus effect at others.
I have their first album on CD and I think I have their second on vinyl (retirement project: get all my vinyls digitised!)
Now I'm really musing: ... Chicken Shack ... Blodwyn Pig ... The Hamsters ... time to put Bluesbreakers on (it was Who's Next yesterday!)
