I think the name "Edge" will bring issue with Samsung Edge mobile[^]. This is a similar issue which was happened few years back with Metro AG by using the name "Metro"[^]

So is it worth learning a relatively obscure language or skill set, on the hope that you can score one of a handful of well-paying jobs that require it? "There is much pleasure to be gained from useless knowledge."

No. Though I do agree with having at least a taste of several languages; when it comes to work, only learn what you need to know now. You have no idea what you will need to know next week.
(I never needed to know COBOL or Fortran.)

Popular languages are in high demand thus pay well...
There are also many programmers who know these languages! Why pay a top salary for a programmer who has the same skills as all the other programmers? There's probably a programmer around who can do the same job for less.
Now a language nobody knows, but that you need... That you're willing to pay for!
So if you are the one developer who knows that particular language you can practically name your price.
Well, in theory anyway.

Or make up their own language (you know who you are) so they get the determine who has da skillz and who doesn't.
