Yup! I setup a virtual VM in then just do the remote if incase i am away of my laptop/computer at work. I just uploaded the source code in GitHub.. The only problem if i can take a Database repository too that would be great service.. GitHub for database..?

Depending on your definition of "portable", that's what VMs are for.
I've been running nothing but VMs here at home for a few years now (Hyper-V, specifically). Those VMs have gone through host OS upgrades (2008 R2 -> 2012 -> 2012 R2), changed host machines, swapped motherboards, migrated to a RAID setup, migrated to SSD, all without having to reinstall any of my dev apps/tools/utilities/SDKs/etc.

Nice! I've been thinking to setup VM. If only VM would run in USB then just pluggin in a computer that would probably require kind of a VM launcher. That is really nice then you can take a backup of your usb in case of a failure..

Hyper-V doesn't really care where the VHD is. Create a new VM, and point it to the existing .VHD file, whether it's across a LAN, on a USB stick or an external hard drive.
Performance would probably be what you could reasonably expect though.

Has anyone been in the swag bucks influencer program? I am was thinking about signing up for it since I have a blog. Usually about every week or two I post an entry unless I am performing a task or have family troubles. What does everyone recommend if I use this program? Note: usually these type of blog posts are separate from the ones I post here on code project.

After a year and a half of not having to work in PHP/MySQL, I am now being forced to revisit an old POC (proof of concept or piece of crap, take your pick) project that a customer has now decided they want to use, naturally with quite a few changes!..and they need it operating in less than two months! Previous PHP editing was done with Active State Komodo, which works OK, but has some quirks, and lacks a debugger. (at least for the free version) I thought this time I would try the PHP Tools for VS and after finally getting debugging working seem to be off to a good start. Now I just need to remember all the weirdness that goes along with PHP.

Why not try WebMatrix for PHP? 
Microsoft had started supporting PHP in WebMatrix 3 (not in Visual Studio). So, I believe you will get a lot of good tools for IDE under WebMatrix and they also support MySQL.

I don't believe you can debug in WebMatrix. That was the drawback for me so I went with the WAMP stack and am using NetBeans IDE so I could debug.

There's a plug-in for PHP that's something like $90 that I bought which made working with PHP significantly less painful. Debugger support, etc.

Thanks Marc! That's the one I installed without realizing it was a trial version.  That's OK though, if it improves my chances of getting this project done on time, it will be worth the $90. So far it seems to work great!

I use VS.PHP[^] ...does everything from the comforts of my Visual Studio. I've done things like import Joomla and WordPress into it and debugged them.
It will work with its own internal webserver the way Visual Studio does or you can set up PHP on IIS and use that. Has all the usual syntax highlighting, Intellisense, etc.

I'll try this one when the trial for the other runs out, then choose which one I like. Pricewise, this one has a slight edge...and free upgrades for life! I've just noticed that the updates for each version of VS are free, not so for the upgrades to newer versions of VS. Thanks!
