We submitted an entry for some contest hosted by a company.
(uhh, excuse the anonymity overdose - I don't want to bash such a big company in public, considering the other BIG good sides of them in mind, and moreover these contests are outsourced these days)
Some bad UX:
 A contest entry getting accepted without an ACK being sent back to the registered email.
They asked us to register, but there was no login screen. Registration & Submission screens were there, Submission form lets do submit directly. I don't know if someone else in the team registered before with the same ID. But the workflow is totally clueless.
We can't login and see what we submitted.
And through out the site there was 0 email IDs for contact.
No discussion forums.
Just a FAQ section that felt like read it or go **** yourselves if you got more question .
"Contact us" was a dummy link that took the conglomerate parent site, that would give a sh*t to answer you contest related questions.
There was no picture of beautiful ladies doing any kind of support 
How pooor! 
I've seen CP contests & the way things are arranged, but still people had some complains here and there. Looking at the mess happening around, what CP does as contest feels like luxury. 
After all, we got Chris, the 911!

I've just hit my first stumbling block on Windows 10. I wanted Remote Connection (to access a Raspberry Pi). So to download the free app, I have to create a Microsoft Account. Why do I need an account to get something that is free? Fortunately, I had the prescience of mind to create a new pretend email address and autoforward it to a real email address rather than using my usual one.
But when I next reboot the PC I get a strange screen - it turns out, I now have to log on to start my own PC; I've never logged on before. My boot up process was 1) Switch on; now it is 1) Switch on, 2) Wait for logon page, 3) Enter password. And the really bad thing is that the password turned out to be the one that I had set for the Microsoft Account. So, MS knows the password to start my PC. How insecure is that?

You can remove the Microsoft account from windows[^].

Likely they don't "know" the actual password, but rather some one-way-hash of it. Windows likely then does the same one-way-hash of your entered password and authenticates with that.
Local windows passwords do the same. Logging into most web-based email systems (like hotmail, gmail, outlook, etc) do the same.

You've always been logging into Windows (at least with the NT line forward), you apparently just never knew you did.

I used Windows 10 for a week but last night upgraded my PC back to Windows 7 - Microsoft make the whole upgrade process very simple. I can now read text on the screen again without wanting to fanny about with the font every 30 seconds or so. I will probably use 10 on a tablet but I mostly use a PC which 10 is entirely unsuitable for.

Rather more secure than anybody in the whole world being able to start your PC because it didn't have a password at all I would have thought? And as someone else has said MS don't know your password at all just as your bank doesn't know your PIN ... on which subject you also have the option of signing in with a PIN which is equally unknown to MS! I'm afraid you're getting my Tinfoil Hat of the Day Award!

I had a similar thing happen to me. When I logged in to the MS Store, my account was switched from my local one, to my MS one. The next time I needed to unlock my screen, I didn't notice the change right away, and tried several times to use my local account password before I realized the account had been switched to the MS one. Fortunately, I use LastPass to manage my passwords, and was able to look it up one another device. After unlocking the screen, I switched back to my local account, and all was well again.
IMO, MS should never switch accounts, and at the very least warn you that they did.

And I probably won't feel so good tomorrow either...
But I added some shoulder and triceps exercises to my training routine and some weights to my regular exercises.
And that feels pretty damn good 
"Yeah man, I exercise pretty hard, lifting some serious weights. Gotta keep those arms in shape, I'm in IT you know..."

I'd never go to the gym.
Never say never, but I don't think anything is more closely to never than me going to the gym
I got some stuff at home.
And I'm still having trouble to motivate myself to lift those weights.
It's horrible, but at least I'm building some physique...

I've been 20 kg heavier than I am now.
Really, I weighed almost 80 kg and people told me how I was skinny and had no arms...
Until of course I took off my much too wide shirt and revealed my pregnant-looking stomach

Lifting weights isn't the best way to reduce fat; if you're looking to get rid of your belly you're better doing cardio like rowing, cycling etc. Whilst lifting weights does burn energy, it's nowhere near as many calories per hour as cardio does. The main weight-loss benefits of lifting weight is that muscle burns calories even while at rest so your general metabolism is slightly increased.
