First of all this not an article. It's a question. If my question is not clear it's better to clarify it. I like to see that, as a community, if it's not clear share the thoughts and get clarify from the original poster, rather closing it. In the community there can be people who are well experienced as well as nothing at all.

There is some inconsistency with the system...
On site the reasoning is a bit different (and more understandable)

It is happening often that people do not comment on why the question is unclear (kind of laziness mixed with weariness), and only report it...
Do not take it personally - try to improve it instead...

I don't think so.
I have seen some members post irrelevant answers to questions, and report it as unclear at the same time - as shown by the list of reporters when you refresh the page.

That's a kind of behavior I hadn't noticed yet...very disturbing and I think should be discussed by higher (than me at least) ranks...

I saw many replies which are not relevant at all and still moving ahead. I can't see that my question is weird or incomplete comparing to those. So now I don't have even a chance to improve my question.
More like this is people chasing on points and stuff in the community, rather helping others

Nothing personal at all. But without a discussion how I know that what is unclear to those reporters? Honestly I can't see anything unclear in my question, as I see . And now I don't have a chance to improve my question too, since reporters just said it's not clear.

It's generic text.
If you look at the question itself, it says:
Closed because the post is not clear, or is incomplete and has not been phrased in a way that allows it to be fully understood.. Reported by Wes Aday, digimanus on Sunday, August 16, 2015 7:35pm. Which is a little more sensible.
Personally, I don't like the "I don't understand this question, let's close it" attitude of some members - If you don't understand it, explain why and ask for clarification. Closing the question just kills any conversation, but...it feeds egos, and may give rep points to the reporters.
I'd suggest that it would be better to raise this here: http://www.codeproject.com/suggestions.aspx[^] where the admins will see it.

I'm agree with you. If my question is not clear why they didn't check that with me, rather reporting and closing down? That's why I expect from a community people.

Agree on this. The lifetime expectance of an (partially) unclear question is very short leaving no possibility to enhance and explain the question, possibly causing only frustration.

Totally agree. Looks like those guys didn't understand the question, or did not know the answer, and so thought it their best option to close it so people wiser than they are would not have a chance to answer the OP. Insane logic!

Yes I can, but I don't think that anyone can't understand what I said. If someone really want to see an example or something I've done why they didn't ask me about it? What they did was simply report, and admin closed the thread. I'm in no where now.

Admin didn't close the thread - it was closed automatically as a result of the "unclear" votes. This is part of the system which removes inappropriate material (abuse, plagiarism, and spam mostly) without admins being involved directly - and thus quickly, since it doesn't need 24 hour admins!

Agree with Griff. Your question is lacking information, which a bit of communication would have fixed.
Regarding your question, a textbox is a shape of it's own, are you doing the find on the page containing the textbox, or in the textbox itself?

If someone not clear with the information that I've provided it's better to ask me, isn't it? That's the way we can improve the community. Now it's reported and closed and I can't do anything.
Regarding my question. Yes, as you said rather dealing with as simple content in the page I've check for all the shapes in the document. In that way I was able to resolve my question myself.

My question did not get answered, but down-voted by four users(or may be two, 2 points got deducted 2 times, total four points)
No one even bothered to tell me what was the problem in the question 
May be they did not get my question. As it was my first question here on CP, so it might possible that I couldn't explain my question clearly.
But they should have asked me to explain it more before down-voting. But out of all the users of CP no one tried to answer the question, except one user who commented on it and asked me "what I've done until now to solve the problem"

That's the worst thing. CP is a community build up on each other, by not voting up-down on the content. I don't know why people really doing it.

In the case of your question, Afzaal Ahmad Zeeshan was right - you don't actually ask a question, you just state your task - so he asked you what you had tried.
That's important for a couple of reasons:
1) We aren't here to do peoples homework or paid-work for them. So when you post a task without any show of effort or specific question we want to know what is going on. Because we get a lot of people trying to get us to do it all for them!
2) Unless we know what you have tried, we will likely suggest stuff that is irrelevant - because you tried it and it didn't work, or it doesn't work in the context of the rest of your project.
The point is, we don't know what you are doing unless you tell us: we can't see your screen, access your HDD, or read your mind. All we get to work with is exactly what you type.
So trying to make your question concise doesn't often work, because we don't have any context for the question.
All you said was "I want to do this" without trying to explain why it's difficult for you!

Okay, I'll update the question explaining more about what I've done so far and why I need this to get done and what exactly I need to get done.
Lets see how many users answer the question.

Probably, but that doesn't mean they know the answer or even that they answer questions.
It's got a lot more in it, and it makes sense to me - but I have no idea how to do it!
