As a tourist myself, I can agree with Sander. However I would rate Anne franks place lowest unless you are interested in the history.

Indeed. I was in Amsterdam during the hey-days of 1972 - a most auspicious time, indeed, complete with backpack and ISSTA card ('The' international student travel association of the time).
To this day, I remember the museum trips (and the Heineken Factory tour). There was an exhibit called "The Beanery[^]" - I'll never forget. In moments I was immersed.
I'm not sure if it is enough to just call it "Art".

The town itself with the canals and atmosphere I'd say.
But if you're not after anything specific I'd rather stay in Germany since there's just as much to see there aswell.

Itterbeck is for German standards in the middle of nowhere.
I asked my wife, who has a German degree in Tourism, and considering the time of the year she recommended to go to the Christmas market in Münster. Which is half the distance compared to Amsterdam.
When in Nuremberg you also have a Christmas market, but you're also just half an hour away from Bamberg, a very picturesque and well preserved medieval town known as the brewery capital of Germany.
Last I checked they had twelwe breweries, several of them in the town center and some of them also do tours.

I don't recommend it, unless you want to practice opening the way as an american football player.
It usually is so overcrowd that you barely can walk. Besides (in my opinion) Nurnberg downtown is not so pretty, there are a couple of highlights but I would not extra travel there, another thing is if you are already in the region.

It was discussed a few threads down.
And since I have recently bought a new car I thought I'd give you what I look at.
1. Automatic gearbox, since my wife refuse to use anything else.
2. The chair is very important, since I have recurring back problems and often enough drive long distances.
3. A large luggage compartment is important when you drive long distances with the whole family.
4. A big enough engine to keep me from being a road block on autobahn.
5. Reasonably low fuel consumption. Because money.

7. Good headlights.
8. No Peugeot, Renault or Opel.
