We were just holding back our wallets on Xamarin. It's certainly a big news for the company.
Now MSDN license is like an universal passport to mess with any MS software up there!
Community Edition VS does support Xamarin, You see but there's always some *(star) marks here and there with the free editions!  Safe bet is to go through MSDN->VS Pro->Xamarin.

Well I got community at home! 
At work we got MSDN.
We also got Xamarin! That was before the acquisition, we just renew our license 2 weeks ago! damn!  Oh well.. at lest we got test cloud licenses!

Check if this helps:
In UWP apps, you can only access to the following files and folders:
Directories which are declared in the manifest file (e.g. Documents, Pictures, Videos folder)
Directories and files which the user manually selected with the FileOpenPicker or FolderPicker
Files from the FutureAccessList or MostRecentlyUsedList
Files which are opened with a file extension association or via sharing
If you need access to all files in D:\, the user must manually pick the D:\ drive using the FolderPicker, then you have access to everything in this drive...
I think you can let the user pick the folder once, and put it into the FutureAccessList so that you can always access it afterwards

One my friends , in the name of shooting the beauty of lake Barrie (Canada), drops his camera into 4 feet icy waters. He said it took almost 5+ seconds for him to get it back from the depths. T1i is not even a weather/dust proof. It's a normal one. He put it in a bag of rice (yes RICE, if I heard it right). And the 3rd day, the miracle happens. The camera resurrects! The camera means a lot to him, like bread winner for his family. He thrives by street photography. Now he's writing a letter to Canon appreciating the resiliency of the "Rebel".

I capsized a kayak in the Mekong river and dunked my 5D III. Did the same thing, the rice absorbs the water and helps dry it out.
Worked fine ever since, although the lens never focused quite as well afterwards. Luckily it was only a cheap lens rather than one of my good ones. (cheap enough to fall under the insurance threshold)

I know how it would feel like when you drop a machine like 5D-III into the waters. Glad it woke up again. I think 5D is a bit of weather proof build?

After a couple of days, it will start to behave badly; there is a lot of mechanical dohickies in a camera, and rust will get to them.
Rice is OK, but not enough, it is not a dessicant, especially if the camera was under water; at best you should put it in a dry warm air current (hair dryer on low heat setting).
Rice will not go into all the small spaces inside the camera.
Anyway, good luck with that.

Yep , makes sense. Waking up is not enough, I doubted if it'd continue to perform as good as before.
I was thinking if I can suggest to open the camera body and keep it open with a sack full of silica bags, It might pull up some more moist from the interiors. & Dry air would definitely help.
