Ones upon a time I used to watch tv, then there was a program called Idol, this reminds me very much about it.
Idol was also one of the reasons I stopped watching tv.

The male singer won one of those Idol (xxx has talent) shows apparently.
These shows can be very funny though, check out the Penis Song on Americas got Tallent, its very funny.

Buddy Holly's Everyday and Ben E King's Spanish Harlem made it on to my mixes playlist even though somewhat before my time. Mostly 80's rock with a few local band's tracks that remind me of uni times.
On those days when one's normal playlist just isn't hitting he spot (i.e. keeps choosing those tracks you really aren't in the mood for) throwing on the country / western streaming radio seems to fill the silence but doesn't evoke/enhance any mood. Odd thing is I never listened to it (in fact ran way from it) when I was younger. Caught that bug from an auntie (non English speaking to boot) who would throw on the c&w whenever she did housework; find with c&w you can get on with your work and never feel like stopping what you're doing to hit 'next track'.

Depends on my mood really.
Sometimes I just listen to whatever is on YouTube.
My current favorite channel is MrSuicideSheep (mostly electronic chill out and ambient), but when I'm in the right mood I listed to Skankandbass (drum n bass), Trap City (trap) or Bass/Trap/House/EDM/Chill City (variety of electronic music genres).
Currently, I'm listening a lot to songs like Birdy - Wings (Nu:Logic Remix)[^], CloZee - Secret Place[^] and Break - The Flux[^].
I'm listening to YouTube like that because I discover lots of awesome music like that and because I can stop it after every song, so it's ideal when I don't have a lot of time.
Whenever I got more time on my hands I listen to albums mostly.
I'm into darker music and metal, but not just any metal. The balance of things have to be just right.
Stuff like Thy Catafalque - Malmok Jarnak[^] , Oranssi Pazuzu - Vasemman Käden Hierarkia[^], Horseback - Shape of the One Thing[^] and Neurotech - Alleviate[^].
Why? Because they're awesome and each time you listen to it you discover new layers of music that you did not hear before.
The Oranssi Pazuzu album didn't impress me at all when I first listened to it, but it turned out to be my favorite album of 2016 (with Vasemman... being my favorite track).
And then there is a lot more what I listen to on a daily basis, but it's quite impossible for me to list it here and for you to listen to it all

I need to work a lot with C++ Builder and I like it a lot and I hate it lot of times a lot more; for me it (Embarcadero/former Borland) is the real case if a love hate.
A long time before MS they introduced a nice visual form designer, with a very clever structure (VCL, visual component library), easy to understand, easy to handle and easy to extend.
But meanwhile they are always about two “decades” behind the state of the technics.
- Even today, with RAD Studio it is a hassle to e.g. use Unicode in the source file.
- Also stability of the IDE in case of bigger projects is frustrating
I have to admit, I know VS only for small projects, but it is much more comfortable and reliable.
Anybody out there who also suffers under Embarcadero?

Not Emarcadero flavour but Borland Builder 2006, so close to .NET yet so far(?) Didn't really like it or see the need for it. It's just the guy who wrote the software kept using Borland...I really only used the DOS Turbo versions at College and Uni (and liked those). Having come from the VS Windos background to the Borland (or as I christen it Bob the) Builder. It was a step sideways, it always seemed to want you to do things the Pascal way...

My experience is that the quality of Visual Studio is heavily depending which version you use. The 2001 was total crap, the 2003 on the right track, the 2005 quite nice and from 2009 really fine. Especially when running on Windows 7.

I'm using VS2013 up to VS2015 (for really small Projects/interfaces) with W7/W8.1 and I'm impressed about the Quality. Especally while developing components. With Embarcadero it's very easy to "switch off" IDE (means IDE does not start again) while having a problem in a self made component.
I'm aware, that is not an easy Job for an IDE to manage self developed components.
Borland 6 was more or less relaiable, but Embarcadero RAD 10 is the hell.
With VS I made at least the expirience that my self developed components can't take "out of order" the IDE.

I had to use it earlier this year and found it to be a big pile of junk. The crappy IDE aside, the compiler is horrible.
Let's put it this way; I find it preferable to use Eclipse in CentOS 6. Now that's damning.

Yes indeed! But fortunately for about $140 JomiTech helps for this with TwineCompile which drastically decrease compile time (about factor 10).
But the price includes also some new side effects and the increase of the chance that the IDE crashes
