Perhaps - but as often as not, it's analogous to going to a restaurant, ordering a lot of food, and then leaving it behind. You don't get your money's worth - the details into whose fault it is are the real part worth considering.

Well, it's a fact that the cost of higher education in good universities is beyond most people. To end up with a 120K loan for a 4 year under-grad degree is a little harsh considering they would be 22-23 at most when they graduate.

In my opinion, the high cost of college in the US is caused by the same thing that causes the high cost of healthcare:
It's the fact that we ourselves don't outlay the money for it. It's paid for by somebody else and we get an installment plan. That's a perfect recipe for outrageous prices.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.
