Rumors are some of the 'customer experience telemetry' bypasses (slips under) the firewall - may be just ms-haters scaremongering but apparently some folks did prove it checking data sent at the router.

Couldn't vouch for that personally, but I also wonder if say ms or cia or kim jong il did have everyones data how long would it take them to go through it all? Yeah on TV they make it look easy but even with mountains of the most powerful servers running best-of big data search and extraction 99.9999999999% of the petabytes of data is useless noise - it'd take literally years to extract enough meat to make a sandwich, most of which by then would be stale. Every second terabytes of data is being sent around, in real life no ones got the processing power to handle that.

It's like yes they can tap any phone, but they could never handle tapping every phone at the same time. Just like phone tapping any 'data tapping' would have to be targeted. (Again on TV they apparently listen to every phone call in the world or even just USA and pick up on certain "words/phrases/names of interest" - completely pure utter bullshit.

- if you're doing nothing wrong your data is as safe as your phone line - neither is absolutely safe, but chances are negligable to nil.
Sin tack
the any key okay
