I'm typing this on Chrome running on Ubuntu 16.04 running on a really old laptop running a celeron and only 2GB of ram. And it runs quite well.

Decided to delve into native development on Linux.
Installed CodeBlocks and cannot believe how nice the IDE is now.
Also, looking around for training resources and stumbled upon this 5 day online one:
Developing Applications For Linux | Linux Foundation Training[^]
Cannot believe they charge $2950.00 for that course. Additionally cannot believe someone pays that much. Seems really expensive. Maybe it's amazing, not sure.

I plan on starting out with a couple of books:

The Linux Programming Interface: A Linux and UNIX System Programming Handbook: Michael Kerrisk: 9781593272203: Amazon.com: Books[^]

And I got this one at the library:
Linux System Programming[^]
although it is called system programming, seems to be more directed at applications, which is more what I'm looking for.

Anyone else out there doing native Linux dev?
