I'm not complaining (my "answer" was only a joke!) but... AL = a lake ?? Is this standard crossword-clue composition: use any words whose first letters match what you want? Or am I missing something?

L for lake is a fairly standard crossword code (as is R = river). I'm not quite sure why these are deemed acceptable where L for lunch and R for rabbit would not be, but I've seen them used a great many times over the years.

Hi All,
Finally got around to watching Blade Runner 2049. I am in two minds about it, spectecular looking film with one minor fault. The plot... the film had alot scope and chances for a lot of story, just didn't take them. The city looked grate! PanAm logo's everywhere the collapse of the Tyrell corpation & the black out. Do I think the end of it they were setting up for another possible sequel? Hmmm... I must watch the original and the sequel back to back now.
