Funny story but there was an outage with a downstream provider in Toronto this afternoon and we were caught up with it. There were lots of people in full panic mode. For once there was nothing I could do. I got to sit back and watch.

I was answering this[^] question at QA late last night, but received a "servers are a little overworked" message five times in a row, so decided to postpone it to the morning, just to find it went thru actually twice with a difference of 5 minutes...
While I have no problem to delete one of the answers you may want to investigate...

The date in the snapshot pop-up doesn't represent the current date where the red line is.
I observed, that the date is related to the first line, Author in the screenshot.
When the reputation points for the first line change, the date changes too.
The expectation is, that the At date represents the position of the red line or at least the latest change in any reputation type.

The new look to the front page "Discussions" and "Questions" is odd:

There is far too much line spacing, and if you want to make the author more prominent - hence making it much bigger text - why simultaneously make it a colour which makes it less prominent?
Just looks all wrong to me, should the author be more important than the message?

The top two messages in the ASP.NET forum[^] are spam. The messages have been closed, and the spammer[^] has been terminated. And yet the username, which contains the spammed domain, is still visible.

Occasionally, you post a "Reply" in QA and it doesn't "take" - you get a "we retried 3 times" message.
That's not such a big deal - we all get busy from time to time - but when this happens with an answer the textbox doesn't get cleared, so it's a simple matter to wait ten minutes and re-post.

With comments though, the text box is cleared - so if it doesn't "take" you lose the message completely and immediately you press the "Submit" button, but you don't know that for a minute or so. With a quick "You're welcome!" or similar that's not a problem, but when you've just typed for five minutes it is rather annoying ... Any chance the two systems could do something similar? I know it's a big ask, given that the "Reply" textbox is not a permanent fixture, but it would be nice.

If I click on the red notification counter (in the top right corner) on an iPad I'm greeted with an eternally spinning wheel.
