So many forums are starting to look like this:
Is there really any need to still have deleted threads from last August still hanging around?
If there are no replies, or all replies have been removed, I think these threads should be completely deleted, or at least hidden, after a couple of weeks.
It's particularly problematic in the less popular forums, where these threads drown out the real content, and you end up with a whole page of "Message Closed" messages. Especially for new users, who don't realise that these were spam messages, and might assume that we're an unfriendly lot who just delete every message ever posted!

Becasue I can't see any way to do it - and we have a GitHub app subm,itted as a question today, which would probably make a reasonable Project: How do I download Google spreadsheet using Python?[^]

Chris, I've still no idea how to submit a project type, and I don't see anywhere on the site to do that. I'm sure I'm missing something, but there is one item in the moderation queue which is probably suited for that (it's just describing V2 of a github release): The Atlas Copco Open Protocol Interpreter v2.0.0[^]
How do I suggest he converts it to a Project?

It's all sorted.
I had to rework a bunch of stuff to do with tags (long story) before we could launch. As of this evening I think I'm done so we'll try launching again this week.
Nothing like anticipation, right?

For example: Latest Messages[^]
The CSS rule .messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a has a higher precedence than the previous a:visited rule, so the visited links don't change colour.
a:visited {
color:#800080;
}
.messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a {
color:#005782;
}
.messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a:hover {
color:#069;
}
That makes it extremely difficult to see which messages you've already reported when you're slogging through a list of 80 spam messages.

On the Your Settings page, there's lots of titles to choose from for managers and professionals, and aside from that: Student, Retired, Unemployed. I chose "Engineer" but actually I'm a manual laborer. How about "Employed: Other" or "Employed Outside Electronics" or something like that.
Codeproject has a legitimate interest in knowing who the CEO's and founders are, but it might be informative to know who is 180° opposite.

We get reports of this occasionally and my best guess is a mail forwarder somewhere between us and you is in a retry loop. I'll ask Matt to dig in, though.

It only happened with those two messages from the same person. I have never seen it before, or since.

Please! You are such a great site, but copy/paste in Q/A-A works still only in case you do

otherwhise it will cut some leading chars.

I'd really like to be able to search C-only articles. Right now C and C++ articles share the same tag, which makes it tedious to sift through.
Is there perhaps something I'm missing?

That some lucky sod would have to go through all of the existing articles by hand and decide which category they would belong in? There are only around a thousand, by maybe 800 different authors...

That's the problem - nobody has. And a system where "some" are correctly tagged is useless to everyone, especially those specifically seeking C based information.
