My wife made me sit through the unbearable "breaking bad" to the finish, too, but at least she gave up on the godawful "walking dead".
She's watching "the good doctor", at this moment.

At the end of streaming season 1 of Breaking Bad I realized that I would be happy if something killed every single character. Never went back.
Walking Dead - gave up on it during the 'Negan' over-overacting. Never went back.
Currently watching... nothing - no series or sitcoms. I will occasionally stream from NetFlix if it is less than a dozen episodes or so. Otherwise I am unwilling to invest the time.

If you want a few suggestions of shows that have been on during the past year, and are brilliantly written (tastes differ, of course, but quality writing is quality writing):
• Why Women Kill[^]: the script is a work of art.
• Inside No. 9[^]: One of the best-written (and performed) shows ever, IMO.
• L'Amica Geniale[^] (My Brilliant Friend): seems a bit girly, but masterfully written.
• After Life[^]: Second season starting soon.
And, of course, the best show on TV EVAH!
• The Curse of Oak Island[^]: No script, just people believing the most stupid thing in the world -- and cool machines! (Confession: my main reason for watching it is for the joy of shouting "COULD IT BE?!?" every time the narrator says it).
Oh, and I haven't got around to watching the latest season of The Expanse[^], which I was very impressed with, after it got past a "meh" start
Discounting Oak Island (for obvious reasons) that's maybe 20-30 hours, in an entire year -- and I spent more time that that watching the excellent Justified[^], which I only recently discovered. I really can't think of any other recent shows that I enjoyed.
But they all seem to find enough to pat themselves on the back about, and hand out prizes for.
Almost every award-acceptance speech should start with: "I'd like to thank all the mindless f***ing idiots who think this show's worth wasting their life on".

Then congratulations, you’ve discovered a red flag. “Doers” should not be in too many meetings. Because gasp…they need time to actually do stuff. If management cannot squash this early so you can do what you do best, you’ve found yourself at a mismanaged company.

You are a victim of the square-cube law, which seems to apply to many things from simple geometry to architecture, engineering or biomechanics. In your case, obviously doubling the organisation's size has quadrupled the effort to coordinate the activities. Or simpler: After reaching a critical size, management is mostly busy managing itself.

I was expecting that some will try to exploit the situation by stocking up and selling at high prizes...
But the actual low level came from the 'teachers union'... They stopped - a very minimal - work from remote until promised full payment and an exemption from returning the missed days from now on. So does not matter how long they will stay at home they have only 9 days to return to us...
The most infuriating part of it, that those at kinder-garden are obviously can not 'teach' remotely... a large part of the students and the teacher have no sufficient computer and/or knowledge to use it for remote communication...
So it will end up the teacher will send emails full of crap and student will be upset and frustrated...
Those filth of filth... Sitting at home and get payed while almost half a million sent home without an agora...
No wonder the future not that bright anymore...

If you think capitalism is being taught as a 'good thing' in the modern western education system - you haven't had any contact with the schools in the last 20 years. 
As for capitalism not being compassionate - name a better system that has raised more people up out of poverty.

Could be. But then, where do they get it from? Probably from capitalism itself: The entire society, our entire lives are immersed in capitalism, through politicians, media/entertainment, the entire commercial/advertising world, even religion.
It doesn't always appear as capitalism per se, but hides under different disguises. Listen to Donalds press conferences: Every day for two weeks now, he has been praising "private capital" and commercial forces for being The solution to handling the corona virus, and constantly stresses how fundamental it is to give private capital a possiblity to make more profit as soon as possible to get the nation back on its feet - a major medical problem is essentially handled by making sure that capital owners get what they want.
Or you can call it "human rights" - the "freedom" to exploit other humans is a human right. Look at the UN Declaration of human rights, and consider how many of the articles would make no sense in a society with no money, no capitalism, no mechanisms for economic exploitation. Listen to how DT talks about closing the borders to save the nation's econonomy - national borders is a weapon in the protection of capital interests. (This is ages old: The kings didn't build their armies to protect the peasants, but to protect their own capital.)
In today's Western society, capitalism is preached as something given by nature, something that cannot possibly be questioned or objected against. It is as permeating as Christianity was a couple hundred years ago. You can hardly point out that other societies may have different ideas, without being labeled an anti-capitalist. Kids shall not even be made aware that there is something that is quite different from the capitalist world they are living in; there shall be no critical ideas.
So even though you appearently have revealed that schools may disclose the fact that there may be other ways, I don't think you have to worry. Society will soon enough pick such misconceptions off their minds.

Object to it all you like - I don't care. But if you object to it you must think there is an alternative. What is it?
I mean - if I put up millions of dollars to build a factory and you work in it - you seem to think that you should get to own the factory. If you want to own a factory - build one yourself - or get your coworkers together and buy it from the owner and run it the way you want.
One of the joys of capitalism is that you can leave if you don't want to participate. Socialism and communism - not so much.
