There is software out there that will parse and analyze server log files and return info like: most popular page, least popular page. Common search engine keywords, etc...

awstats is a good log analyser
if thats what ur looking for
otherwise u can write a hook that captures all clicks on links and logs them in ur db b4 passing the click onto the reqd destination

I have a problem it seems that when I try to send a file in the html format it doesnot send the saved html files i have saved based on the response. For instance I have four different html emails to choose from based on the customers request. Originaly I had no problems using this code in the CDONTS format where I could tell it what type of mail it was based on the body format.By the way I'm loking for independant web developers that Know asp.net or asp to develope and maintain web sites.

Anyone know of message boards which are open source and powerful like CP? I need it in PHP however 
I have tried the PHP version available with the message boards source for CP boards here on CP, but it totally sux...
So does anyone know of an alternate PHP message board? I'm not a real fan of those phpBB type forums...however if they integrate into the body of a web site easily (so they don't require a sepaerate page) I'd be interested.

Probably one of the most popular PHP boards that I've seen is phpBB. I haven't used it too much, so I don't know how much is there; but, it should be worth checking out.

Hi,
I have a page that does a password change. It takes in parameters and updates it to the database.
Now, I want the main page to call this page in a modal window.
Problem is that when the user hits okay in the modal, a new window pops up. How do I avoid that?
I'm new .. so detailed examples or instructions would be appreciated.

Every time I try to call a web method, I get this error: System.Net.WebException...unerlying connection closed. cannot connect to remote server. I can successfully add a web reference, meaning I can see web service. When I tried compiling the project in a different machine, and running it there...it works.

I'm creating an installer for a web application, however I am a bit stumped on how to create the shortcuts to access the homepage. (The application is being installed on a stand-alone local machine)
I created a shortcut for the programs menu and the Fafourites folder however neither opens the home page properly. On my Development system it open the Home.aspx into Visual Studio. When I look at the shortcut the installer actually created it points to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\..... rather than http:\\localhost\....
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the shortcut to work properly. (Or have pointers to documentation I may have missed)

I'm not sure I understand your meaning, myEvent is going to be a client-side function, and the CodeBehind of course runs on the server. You can always do the usual things from the Javascript function, like submit the form, or set the value of a hidden field, if that helps. If not, give us a bit more detail on what you're trying to do, and we can give you the best work-around.

Yes, your understanding was correct!
I have a client side js function that needs to raise an event when it has finished so that the codebehind can process either the contents of a hidden field on the page to store what has happened, or indeed just handle a passed data string.
In a perfect world I could raise an event thus.
window.external.raiseevent('myEventFinished','string data to send to server codebehind')
And consume this in the server codebehind code, although have not worked out how yet!
But maybe I cannot send a string of data this way, and need to store the data in a hidden control before calling the event.
Either way, I am stuck on consuming the event from the server codebehind file.

Hi,
Wenn i have my database open(not mutation of tables) the website itself doesn't work anymore. I have to close Access and than it works. Does anyone have a sollution for this?

By default, I believe Access opens in exclusive-mode, meaning only one user can have the database open at a time.

As Datagridgirl said, Access does tend to open in Exclusive mode. But another thing to check is the permissions of the directory where the database lives. When Access opens a database it creates a ".ldb" file used for locking. I have seen it where the security rights only grants access to the owner of a file, which in your case would be Access. If exclusive is not the problem, check security rights.

Agree with Joel Lucsy. I connected access successfully in ODBC when access had be opened. Thus I think that is a problem of rights. When a web page is accessed IIS logins with IUSER_xxx that is not right for *.ldb file.

I just want to inquire if the Netscape browsers (any version, especially the updated one) as well as the Macintosh supports the opacity property? If it is supported what is the syntax or how it would be apply in the code especially in the CSS?

If I remember well, the filter Opacity attribute in CSS, it's just support it in IE, I don't use Netscape, I use Mozilla FireFox and this don't support.
