How do I create settings button for my live wallpaper?

Recently I have been working on a live wallpaper. I have the wallpaper drawn in OpenGLES. But I want to create a settings button so people can, say change the color of the cube I made. How exactly would I go about doing that, I know you have to use PreferenceActivity and you need to create a settings XML file and declare that file in your manifest where you declared your service, but other then that I am completely lost/stuck on how to do this. Any help will be great, thank you.
