How do I populate a list view that's within a tabhost

I have a list fragment layout that's hosted by a FragmentTabHost this list layout is

XML

home_list_layout.xml

I have another fragment independent of the FragmentTabHost -

XML

settings_list_layout.xml

.

I want to grab text from settings_list_layout.xml and basically transfer it to home_list_layout.xml.

How would I go about doing this?
