How do I remove right to left characters such as arabic using regular expressions in php?

I have this code so far but it removes too much:
preg_replace('/[^\x{0600}-\x{06FF}A-Za-z !@#$%^&*()]/u','', $string);
I only want right to left characters replaced! IE ‮ײַ
