I am working on a project written in MFC. I see where you can download VS 13 Community for free; does it support MFC?

Thanks,

Community edition is free of charge. What prevented you from installing it and finding out?

Short answer: Yes, it does. On the link where you see, check out the package details. They would hold the details for what is included, what is provided to you.

Details: Select New Project under File menu and under Visual C++ you will find MFC. Create a new project.

If you don't find it there, try fixing Visual Studio. Go to Control Panel, Add or remove programs, select Visual Studio 2013 Community and select Change. Under Modify, select the C++ options and click ok. That would set up the environment. Otherwise, Visual Studio Community is same as Visual Studio Professional. It does support MFC projects.

Yep.

First hit for MFC on the above page... "VS Community enables you to develop everything from Windows Forms and WPF and MFC to Windows Phone and Store to Azure and ASP.NET – it’s basically a superset of the existing VS Express products."
