Hi,

Is there a way to display a dropdownlist default text WITHOUT including it as a select-able option?

One technique I've seen used is to insert the text e.g. "Select an Option" and then have the dropdownlist validation prevent it from being selected

I think you need this - [Demo] DropDownList with Default Text not as a Selectable Option[^]. :)
