I need your help in developing the Desktop Gadget to display the data
from an oracle SQL query.
I am very new to this and new to programming.
Please help me in getting started with this.

I've not used it, and you will have to translate if you want VB, but have a look here: Instant Oracle Using C#[^]

BTW: I found that with a very simple Google search: learn to use it or you will get roundly and unmercifully criticised.
