Production SQL server service account changing

Hi,

I am going to change production server service account. what is impact on application. we need to change any connection strings on webconfig file.

Please help me.

Solution 1

The service account is the account under which the service itself will be run. It is distinct from the account used to connect to database.

So, to answer your question, no, you will not have to touch your connection strings.
