Can someone tell me how to host wcf service class library in IIS?

As you know, if we create WCF Service application, it would have the .svc file file, but if we create wcf service class library, it would not have one?

is it necessary to have .svc file for hosting the wcf service (Application or Class Library) in IIS?

I don't know; I never use IIS. I only write services that host themselves and avoid a lot of pain.

Obviously you need .svc file. Otherwise what client will refer to call WCF service.
